Julian Perez

Julian Perez was born in 1982, Valencia Spain.From an early age Julian loved electronic music and started to listen to Dance, House and Techno from 1990. At 16 Julian started DJing as a hobby for friend’s parties and smaller clubs in Alicante where he had moved to until 2005. Julian was influenced by Imports from Detroit, San Francisco and Chicago Labels… Deep and Funky House grooves in this time.He had been influenced by artists like MK, Todd Terry, Carl Craig, Paul Johnson, DJ Sneak and deeper like Kevin Yost, Kerry Chandler, Frank Roger, Jay-J…2006 lead Julian to the White Isle of dance and music (Ibiza).

Julian turned to new sounds.. Deep, Minimal Techno after being invited to play at various private parties his style created an interest and was approached by promoters from London / Ibiza who offered him an opportunity to play at Pacha Hotel also becoming a resident at ´Heaven´ Ibiza . Sexy & Chic parties with Salvation in 2007. 2007 winter season took Julian traveling to new shores Argentina, Punta del Este, Montevideo in Uruguay and Brazil, where he played in various clubs gaining new contacts for future seasons. 2008 took Julian to Miami for 3 months making valuable contacts with promoters from Spain, Brighton and Miami. The group “Ibiza Vice Miami”, Julian started playing at many of their parties in hotels (Marseilles, Surfcomber and Catalina) in South Beach every Sunday noon , pool parties. This opened up other doors where Julian started to play in clubs there like Nocturnal, Gem, Indra… in Miami Winter Music Conference 2008. After Miami WMC 2008 the `IbizaVice´ parties went to Puntarenas in Costa Rica, Day & Night Beach Club, and Bocas del Toro in Panamá, Barco Hundido and Aqua Lounge. Where Julian continued to play for them. 2008 bought Julian back to Ibiza for summer season where he started to DJ at the un-official Cocoon, Circoloco and Monza after parties every week. Invited to play on private boats and at Villas.

Also playing at various clubs such as Lola´s, Blue Marlin, Ushuaia Lounge, Grial, Es Vive Hotel, Delano Beach, Sol D’en Serra… throughout the summer. 2008-2009 Julian is returning to Brazil for January 2009 where he has been booked to play in Florianopolis, Balneario Camboriú, Sao Paulo, Maresias and Angra Dos Reis. In 2009 Julian is the Dj Resident of the “La Plage” Beach Club Ibiza, (Nikki Beach Group). And also playing like resident at “Secret” Parties at “Somni club”, and Boat / Vilas Parties around Ibiza. During the winter of 2009/2010 he has played in clubs of Canary Islands, Valencia, London, Benidorm and Barcelona. Now he has already signed contract with the Labels “Lowpitch Records” and “Recycle Records”, with wich he will release EP´s in the coming months. Julian’s sound maybe described as elegant, fresh, deep and groovy, moving and absorbing. His sound now goes well beyond electronic deep and old school house grooves, connecting with funky minimal techno. The best way to get to know and enjoy Julian is to listen to him in his own world behind the decks.
